Certification is specific to a membership organization and not a standard in the industry. Our staff has had years of experience and has proven their knowledge and compassion time and again. Each has had extensive training with us for his or her position. In other words, we could say we are all "Go Dog Rockford" certified.
Q: Are you a certified pet sitter?
Betsy, Noel, Maria and Arielle are CPR and Pet First Aid Certified. Nick is looking forward to becoming certified.
Q: Are you CPR and Pet First Aid certified?
Yup. We are bonded and insured through Travelers Insurance and National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. Our employees are covered with Worker's Compensation Insurance in case they are injured on your property. That way WCI covers it, not your house insurance.
Q: Are you bonded and insured?
Of course. Apart from the reviews on Google and Yahoo and on our Facebook site we would be happy to give you the emails and phone numbers of some clients. However, we can only give this information upon our initial meeting out of respect for our clients' time and privacy.
Q: Do you have referrals?
Betsy fell in love with dog walking while working for one of the best dog walking services in Chicago. We moved to the Rockford area in 2000 for family reasons. Both Noel and Betsy really wanted to care for dogs in our area. So we took a chance and made it happen.
Q: Why did you start Go Dog Rockford?
We walk as early as 6am and as late as 10pm. However, before 8am or after 8pm will require an extra $2 fee. The reason: During the day we are out and about with lots of walks. At those hours we are usually just servicing your dog(s) so it costs us additional mileage and sometimes sleep.
Q: Within what hours do you walk dogs?
Yes. In fact, if you have regular walks we will show up on a holiday so don't forget to tell us when you don't need service.
Q: Are you available holidays?
Yes, please! We love all dogs.We love shy dogs, rambunctious dogs, silly dogs, big dogs, small scrappy dogs... all dogs.
Q: Do you walk Pitbulls?
Email us and we'll set up a time to meet. You are under no obligation to schedule services at that time. Of course you are welcome to. Our initial meeting is just so you can get to know us and we can get to know your dog's needs. When you are ready for service we will need 2 copies of your keys or a garage code. We also need some basic information. We are working on our client sign up portal so this can all be done online. For now we take the information when we come. Please have your pet's shot records at hand.
Q: What do we need to do to start our dog's walks?
Absolutely. After we have our initial meeting, we are all set to walk your dog whenever needed. There's no obligation to sign up for long term services.
Q: Do you do occasional walks? I only need someone every now and then.
Since 2009 when we started with just Betsy and Noel. In 2011 we incorporated and grew the Go Dog family by hiring exceptional employees.
