For vacation services please book as soon as you know you will need us. This helps us book our employees ahead of time so we can cover all the visits easily. Ideally vacation services should be booked at least two weeks ahead of time. We often book 2-3 months in advance. 


For daily services we can usually accommodate you within 24 hours notice if services are within our 10am to 5pm hours. Other hours are subject to availability. If you have special circumstances and you may need to book the same morning of services please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. 


For weekends we ask that you book by the previous Wednesday at 5pm.

Q: Do you take care of cats?

Of course. Apart from the reviews on the Better Business Bureau site, Google and on our Facebook site we would be happy to give you the emails and phone numbers of some clients. However, we can only give this information upon our initial meeting out of respect for our clients' time and privacy.

For occasional or daily walks we invoice in arrears either monthly or weekly. It’s up to you. For vacation services we may ask for half before we start and the rest after your services are finished. You can pay by check, cash, Paypal or through our Petsitclick client portal (Click on CLIENT PORTAL in right hand corner of our website). Also look for the Petsitclick Client App in your app store for scheduling on the go. 

Q: When should I book my services?

We walk as early as 7am and as late as 9:30pm. However, before 10am, after 5pm or on weekends will require an extra $4 fee which may be less depending on location and other factors. The reason: During the day on weekdays we are out and about with lots of walks. At those "off" hours we are usually just servicing your dog(s) so it costs us additional mileage and time. 

Q: Within what hours do you walk dogs?

Email us and we'll set up a time to meet. You are under no obligation to schedule services at that time. Of course you are welcome to. Our initial meeting is just so you can get to know us and we can get to know your pet's needs. When you are ready for service we will need 2 copies of your keys or a garage code. We also need some basic information. Please have your pet's shot records at hand. 


Please contact us at least two weeks before you will need your first service. Vacation services are subject to availability. 

Q: Do you do occasional walks? I only need someone every now and then.

Since 2009 when we started with just Betsy and Noel. In 2011 we incorporated and grew the Go Dog family by hiring exceptional employees.

Yup. We are bonded and insured through Travelers Insurance and National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. Our employees are covered with Worker's Compensation Insurance in case they are injured on your property. That way WCI covers it, not your house insurance.

Yes. In fact, if you have regular walks we will show up on a holiday so don't forget to tell us when you don't need service. 

Q: Do you walk Pitbulls?

Absolutely. After we have our initial meeting, we are all set to take care of your pet whenever needed. There's no obligation to sign up for long term services.

Q: Are you CPR and Pet First Aid certified? 

Certification is specific to a membership organization and not a standard in the industry. Our staff has had years of experience and has proven their knowledge and compassion time and again.  Each employee has had extensive training with us for his or her position. In other words, we could say we are all "Go Dog Rockford" certified. Betsy is certified through the NAPPS program and is extending her knowledge to the employees until the course becomes available to them.

Most of our employees are CPR/Pet first aid certified, 2 more are waiting for the course to come to town again. Please let us know about any health issues your pet has.
